The Nitecore MT20A features a Cree XP-G2 R5 LED (which emits a smaller, more focused and further reaching beam than the Cree XM-L2 LED) with maximum output 360 lumens. The torch can use 2xAA alkaline or NiMH batteries but cannot use Li-ion 14500 batteries. Featuring a dual side switch that allows the brightness level to be stepped up or down quickly and easily, the MT20A also has a low level red LED for occasions the user needs a small amount of light without degrading night adapted vision. The red LED can also be used to show the battery voltage and as a location beacon that flashes once every three seconds (30 day runtime with this feature activated).
